Bowling Green’s Bill and Joey Powell were saddened when they learned WKU would need to take their longtime home for campus expansion. But now excitement about their custom built home in the historic district is building. Before long the Powell clan and the ever-growing number of grandchildren will be able to stay in comfort when they visit. Bill joined WKU as swim coach back in the 60s, is the 2nd most winning coach in college swimming history, and has decades of swimmers who stay in touch. Joey is retired principal of Saint Joseph’s school.
